GraceLife Counseling is a non-profit organization established to provide much needed counseling and psychological information to specific groups who desperately need this help. Unfortunately, many of these people cannot afford such help or they do not know that it exists.
The first group consists of women and children who have been abused, especially those who have been sexually abused. The second group consists of parents of children with chronic and terminal diseases who may have the best medical care but once home begin to experience emotional problems. The third group are those who have been through other traumatic events. Research has shown that these groups tend to not seek help for the inevitable emotional problems that arise - mainly because of financial issues or they do not know that help exists. GraceLife Counseling was founded to meet this very need.
Gordon Sudduth is President and Founder of GraceLife. He received his Bachelors degree from Baylor, his Masters in Counseling with Specialization in Marriage/Family Therapy from Southwestern Seminary, and his doctorate in Experiential Psychology & Neuropsychology from The University of Oxford in England. Gordon has been counseling for 30+ years. He has worked with over 2500 abused women and children, over 3500 people with depression and anxiety and 3000 couples. In addition, Gordon has worked with hundreds of children with chronic and terminal diseases and their parents.
In order to provide the counseling and information needed, we need significant help. Each person involved with GraceLife has shown "grace" in giving to help meet this need. Now we offer this opportunity to others like you. All funds raised are used to cover office and office related costs, materials and books for clients, website costs, association fees, help clients and families with medical needs, and other counseling and testing fees. Gordon's sessions are 75 - 80 minutes and when abused women cannot pay the full price he is paid less than half of the normal fee for his time. At times he performs services for no fee to these women and children. As you can see, no one is involved in GraceLife to grow rich!
"Grace" is often defined as "unmerited favor". It's meaning, however, is much deeper than that. Grace means an empowering gift that enables a person to be and to do something they otherwise could not be or do. By showing us grace with your gifts, you will allow us to give grace to those we counsel, meet with and give to. You will empower us to do what we otherwise could not do ... empower hurting people to be who they otherwise could not be.

In addition to being a gift of grace, your gift is also a safe investment in the lives of people in need. Though money is spent on office expenses, counseling fees, websites, etc., all of these are investments in and services to people.
The GraceLife Board consists of 2 successful business owners, a C.P.A., an attorney, and Gordon. Each of these people is committed to fiscal responsibility and each is highly ethical. Your tax-deductible gift/investment in this work will be used solely for its stated purpose. Board members are not paid to serve.
